Flax eggs can be used to replace regular eggs in baking recipes. It’s used as a binder to hold your baked good together. I find that most recipes that call for just one flax egg is not enough. So, as a rule of thumb I always use 2 or more flax eggs in any baking recipe to ensure that it holds.
1 tbsp flax meal
2 1/4 tbsp purified water
Mix together in a bowl and let sit in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before using it.
